"Doing Things First Time Right "- Let us Join Together and Recognize

In the wee hours of May 6th, 2016, Delta Fast Passenger train experienced a narrow escape when heavy rains had swept away the soil under the railway track at a culvert. A major train accident was averted by the track men monitoring a stretch near Valigonda railway station (Nalgonda District) by detecting the disturbed railway track on the early hours of the Friday. This is perfect example for “Doing Things First Time Right” where Railway engineering staff restored the railway track and services were resumed two-and-a-half hours later.

If we look back, incidentally, On Oct. 29, 2005, in the same area, as the floods swept away the track, the same train got derailed killing over 115 people.  On that day, we witnessed rescue teams and volunteer communities stepping forward and helping the deceased in a big way.

Let us sincerely appreciate the railway team that prevented this tragedy today. Through performing their duty with utmost sensibility, the railway team saved hundreds of lives and dependent families.

On all platforms (social, professional and personal level), we are missing to recognize these “Doing Things First Time Right” acts at sufficient depth. When tragedy happens, we see big newspaper coverage with broad headlines. We heart for those rescue teams and volunteer communities that come forward and help the needy.

When such incidents are prevented, we just move on…

What we recognize is what we get”. Let us join together and recognize these “Doing Things First Time Right” acts and contribute to better tomorrow.
